TAKE A TOUR

GUIDED TOURS
DUE TO COVID-19 OUR SANCTUARY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.  PLEASE VISIT OUR EVENTS PAGE FOR LIVE STREAM OPPORTUNITIES TO MEET THE RESCUED FARMED ANIMALS.

We are open to the general public for 90 minute guided tours every Sunday at 2 PM during May - October.  The suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors. Admission is waived for age 12 and under, senior citizens, college students with valid ID and Asha's Farm Sanctuary members. You will be required to complete an online registration form upon arrival at the sanctuary.

What to expect:
Be ready to make personal and intimate relationships with our very friendly rescued, farmed animals who absolutely love visitors. The rescued, farmed animals that live here had all suffered severely in the food industry due to standard practices in animal agriculture, and you will hear all about their individual stories of triumph and hope at Asha's Farm Sanctuary where they can finally heal and learn to trust again.  As we are an educational organization, our tour guides do discuss in graphic detail about common practices in animal agriculture.  Tourists may may find this information disturbing.

We have a fully-equipped portable potty for visitors.

NO DOG POLICY

Dogs are not allowed at the sanctuary for the safety and well-being of our rescued farmed animals.  Your dog may not be left in your vehicle at anytime.  Any visitors who bring their dog will be asked to reschedule their tour for another date. We appreciate your cooperation.

SIGHT-SEEING ACTIVITIES

We strongly encourage you to make a day out of your visit to Asha's Farm Sanctuary by taking in a hike at Eighteen-Mile Creek, having fun with the kids at the Carousel Park, visiting Murphy's orchards, going on a wine trail, or enjoying shopping at all the quaint shops in Olcott.

Although Olcott is a very popular 'fishing attraction,' we DO NOT condone fishing. Fish are living, breathing, intelligent and emotional beings, much like dogs in water. We like them to stay living and having fun in the water! There are plenty of activities to do in Olcott/Newfane that do not involve fishing. Please visit www.olcott-newfane.com for more information on  things to do around the sanctuary.  Following is a list of historical landmarks and activities to help you plan your day!
  • Park/Eighteen-Mile Creek for Hiking
  • Harbor at Olcott Beach
  • Murphy Orchards
  • Niagara Wine Trail
  • Olcott Beach Carousel Park
  • Olcott Beach Lighthouse
  • Van Horn Mansion
