This is a great opportunity to acquire professional office experience and gain insight into nonprofit administrative work and operations. Development Internship The Development Intern works closely with the president in assisting with the management of nearly all fundraising needed to operate our shelter, education, and advocacy efforts. Development interns help with database and member relations projects and perform some of the administrative work necessary to ensure that Asha's Farm Sanctuary is able to continue our lifesaving work. As an Asha's Farm Sanctuary intern, you will learn skills applicable across the nonprofit world. Education and Visitor Program Internship The Education and Visitor Intern at Asha's Farm Sanctuary assists in organizing events like Kiss a Cow Day! and Fall Festival for Farmed Animals. The Education and Visitor Intern is responsible for the experience of guests visiting the sanctuary, tours of the sanctuary, and open house events. Through all these programs and events, hundreds of guests come to meet our farmed animal residents and learn more about Asha's Farm Sanctuary’s work and mission. As an intern, you will gain experience by providing event support, speaking to guests and visitors about veganism and farm animal issues, and contributing to our many educational and advocacy campaigns and programs. Human Resources Internship In addition to traditional human resources functions, our Human Resources Intern assists in the management of Asha's Farm Sanctuary’s volunteer programs. The department team focuses on matching compassionate individuals with opportunities in which their talents and experience can support our mission. The Human Resources Intern provides administrative support in a wide range of program areas, including but not limited to volunteer inquiries, applicant tracking, safety programs, and online research projects. Intern will work with the department director as well as volunteer program coordinators and have the opportunity to build HR and volunteer management skills. Shelter Projects Internship The Shelter Intern is responsible for assisting with animal rescue and care. Shelter Interns are crucial to the daily functioning of the sanctuary. Whether they are cleaning barns, doing laundry, or closing in the animals at night, every day interns work with caregivers to provide lifesaving care for the hundreds of animals we shelter.
